Every Thursday-Sunday, the Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet plays two sets (8:30 and 10:30) at Tutuma Social Club - an intimate subterranean bar/restaurant in Midtown. The music. is. AMAZING. And there's no cover charge! Drinks are pricey but consider it half for the drink and half for the entertainment. If you want to eat there, make a reservation. There's lots of other music there throughout the week, but Gabriel Alegria is where it's at.
