Afternoon tea at the Carolina Inn is a wonderful way to enjoy Southern culture and hospitality. An assortment of tea and house-made scones, sweets, sandwiches, and preserves are served on elegant china. The seating areas are in the hotel's cozy lobby with antique furniture, or in the private Piedmont Room overlooking a garden terrace. For adults, the classic tea is $18.75 per person; with champagne, $27.50. Prices for children ages 4-7 are $12, and ages 8-12 are $17.
Why I enjoyed this activity...
My girlfriends and I celebrated a bridal shower here and it was a very elegant way to enjoy each others company and the beauty of the Inn. The tea, sandwiches and pastries were delicious, and I was surprised by the assortment and amount that was served.
